As a PR Assistant for Mayor Johnny DuPree in the City of Hattiesburg, I effectively collaborated with The Weather Channel and other media relations outlets to enhance our digital strategy. My journey in photojournalism began when I captured an iconic photo of City Hall that was later featured on the official City Coin in 2015. I hold a B.A. in Journalism, PR, and Mass Communication from the University of Southern Mississippi, where I developed my skills in storytelling services and strategic communications.

Founded KD-PR, LLC during personal and financial hardship, I embarked on a journey into strategic communications. My first major design and editing project was The Right to Arrive by Dr. Ikechukwu Okorie, which showcases my storytelling services. The official transition from side gigs to sole proprietorship and DBA led to the establishment of KD-PR, LLC, where I also offer media relations and publication services.

Ran Danny Shows for Mayor campaign was published through Crew No. 8434 in A Touch of Ellisville Magazine while also launching the Fishn’ for a Cure initiative in 2018. Southeastern Baptist College garnered notable attention from PBS’ Rob Lowe, indicating effective media relations. In October 2017, I began my journey as a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), gradually shifting my focus from full-time PR efforts to strategic communications in mental health support work, where I utilize storytelling services to connect with and assist others.

The 2025-2026 Fiscal Year Brings a Strategic Vision, Planning, and Implementation unlike anything KD Public Relations has EVER seen.
The lists of things we have accomplished are not fully exhaustive, as there is so much more that we plan to add, particularly in our focus on digital strategy.
Stepping away from Public Relations as a core focus to prioritize mental health has taught our Executive Director valuable lessons about the Mission and Vision of what KD Public Relations aims to achieve in this world: Create lasting change through storytelling services while fostering Hope and Creating Growth in a society that has been misled by Propaganda, Yellow Journalism, and Media Slant.
Her Voice was trapped in trauma for many years, much like a lion caged by fear, imposter syndrome, and low self-worth, despite her many accomplishments.
Now she rises with a vision unlike anything she has experienced before, and with this clarity, she is building a team that thrives on strategic communications, letting God move her mountains.
She is finally learning to harness the Voice inside her. Yes, she embodies the spirit of the Lion. Lions do not flee in fear; they stand firm for all they know belongs to them.
