    Katherine De’Na Parker is the Founder and Executive Director of KD Public Relations, (KD-PR, LLC), a Mississippi-based agency blending strategic communications, public relations, and mental health-informed storytelling. 

     A graduate of Jones County Junior College, and The University of Southern Mississippi, possessing an A.A. and B.A. in Journalism (emphasis in Public Relations)with a minor in Mass Communication Studies, she was able to gain media attention for clients long before receiving her educational accolades. She also possesses two semesters in a Corporate Communications Master's Degree from Mississippi College.

    Katherine has also began serving as a Certified Peer Support Specialist for the Mississippi Department of Mental 

Health in 2017—making KD Public Relations one of the few peer-led PR agencies in the United States, and the only Mental Health, PEER-Ran Public Relations Agencies in the State. 

    Since launching KD Public Relations in 2016, Katherine has led high-impact campaigns for municipalities, nonprofits, small businesses, and state agencies, earning a reputation for ethical storytelling, crisis management, and results-driven PR strategy. Her work spans federal contracting 

preparation, press agentry and media relations, brand development, and multimedia production, with a focus on helping organizations communicate with clarity, compassion, and credibility.

Relations, journalism, photo-journalism, and corporate communications—paired with her lived experiences in mental health advocacy—gives her a distinctive lens for creating campaigns that resonate deeply with diverse audiences. 

    She is committed to building narratives of resilience, fostering community growth, and positioning her clients for long-term success.

     Mallory Strickland is a passionate, community-driven journalist dedicated to telling stories that matter—especially those that give a voice to people who are often unheard. A proud wife to retired Master Sergeant Leonard Strickland and mother to two daughters, she brings the same care and commitment to her journalism that she does to her family life.

     Mallory currently reports for the Richton Dispatch Newspaper, and serves as a social media consultant for Jacobs Well Recovery Center. She also recently worked as a digital team member and reporter at the Roy Howard Community Journalism Center, and previously served as a show booker and producer for WUSM radio station. 

     Her work spans print, digital, and multimedia platforms, with a focus on community news, trauma-informed storytelling, and nonprofit coverage.

     She is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in journalism with minors in communications and social media strategies from The University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg Campus.

     Certified in media literacy and Google Analytics, Mallory is skilled in photography, digital engagement, voiceovers, Adobe tools, and AP Style writing.

     When she’s not covering stories or supporting local nonprofits, you’ll likely find her outdoors—fishing, baking, cooking for her family, or enjoying time with her husband and daughters. Mallory believes great journalism doesn’t just inform—it connects, heals, and inspires change in the places we call home.

     She joins KD Public Relations as our Journalism/PR Intern, taking on the role of reporter for The Hope Desk Reports.
